Green Bay Packers’ Madden NFL 11 Ratings
Before they take the field for good this Friday with the start of training camp, let’s have some fun and break down the virtual Packers. Madden NFL 11 recently released its rankings for individual players, numbering them 1-99 on up to 19 different categories (based on position) and them giving them an overall ranking.
As a team, the Packers were ranked second in the NFC North with an overall rating of 87, just one point behind the Minnesota Vikings (88). That number was good for third in the NFC, also behind the New Orleans Saints (92) and tied with the Dallas Cowboys.
In the AFC, the Colts (91), Ravens (90), and Jets (89) were ahead of the Packers, with the Patriots (86) and Chargers (85) close behind. Those numbers make the Packers ranked the sixth best team in the league, according to the Madden rankings. It seems like a fair assessment, pending the return of quarterback Brett Favre to the Vikings. If the legend retires, it will surely make the Packers the favorites in the NFC North.
At the top of the individual rankings list, there were few surprises.
